We’re at the height of summer in the South–I hope you’re staying refreshed!
Speaking of staying refreshed, I want to put in another plea for some of the committees that make the Craft Center run. We need new members. Please don’t dismiss the idea out of hand–think about it. Why?
(1) Committees are actually pretty fun! Yes, members do meet occasionally and perform tasks, but being a committee member is also a great way to meet people and be socially involved at the Center. Often there is good food around too.
(2) Joining a committee does not necessarily mean a meeting every month or a huge time commitment. Committees have different responsibilities–some have regular meetings, some don’t.
(3) WE REALLY NEED YOU!
We are all busy, but the truth is, the Craft Center cannot run smoothly or successfully without our committees. And we have several that need new folks: Membership, PR (Public Relations), Fundraising, Education, and Building and Grounds.
If there is a little corner of your mind that thinks you’d like to give back to the Center in this way, please let Katie Aloi in the office know. If you’re not ready to commit but you’d like more information before deciding, Katie can help you with that too.
Give it some thought!
