Annual Events Cycle
The first public event of the year is the Spring Porch Sale. This sales promotion is usually scheduled to occur around St. Patrick’s Day. At these sales, people can get a great deal on non-juried and student crafts, seconds, and more. This event typically begins by mid-March.
The Appalachian Arts Craft Center’s Annual Spring Benefit and Silent Auction fundraiser is also held in the spring each year. This is a fun event with wonderful music, excellent food, socializing, and an opportunity to purchase beautiful handmade crafts, fine arts, services, and other goodies. (See News for details as the next event approaches).
The center also hosts its annual Plant Sale in the spring. Local plants that do well in this area will be for sale at very reasonable prices.
The Center also holds a Fall Porch Sale similar to the spring event. The Fall Porch Sale usually starts the second weekend in October–watch the home page for announced dates as the time approaches.
Our Annual Chili Supper is usually held in early November. This includes live music, a silent auction, a homemade chili dinner, and a hand-crafted pottery bowl for you to keep. (See News for details as the next event approaches.)
Our Holiday Open House is held the weekend after Thanksgiving. The Open House will be announced on the home page in November. Stop by for some holiday goodies and wonderful gift shopping.
