Our Little Bitty Quilt Show 2012, with a theme of “Animal Kingdom,” will be held Sunday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 31. The first 40 quilts received will be hung in the shop for the entire month of July. A Best of Show ribbon will be awarded by an independent judge chosen by the AACC board. Ribbons will also be awarded for viewer’s choice and other designations. Deadline for turning in a quilt is Monday, June 18. Please fill out a registration form, available at the Craft Center, when you drop off your quilt(s).

2012  LITTLE BITTY QUILT SHOW RULES

THEME: Animal Kingdom

1. For the purposes of this contest a quilt is defined as three layers: top (fabric), batting, and backing (fabric). The quilt can then be made into another form such as a pillow, purse, pin, postcard, etc.
2. All entries must hang for the duration of the show and may not be removed for any reason prior to designated pickup time.
3. Quilts must have been completed in the past three years.
4. Quilts must have a 3-inch wide hanging sleeve (pillows, purses, etc. are exempt from this requirement).
5. All quilts must bear a permanent label with the name of the quilt, the maker’s name, address, and phone number.
6. The maximum size of any quilt will be 24” on the longest side. Round quilts may not exceed 24” in diameter.
7. Anyone may enter a quilt, but the AACC will not accept more than two (2) entries from any one person.
8. The quilt must be quilted by the person(s) on the entry form (no pre-quilted fabrics).
9. All persons who worked on the quilt must be listed on the entry form. If not original design, credit must be given.
10. AACC will charge a non-refundable entry fee of $5.00 per quilt.
11. Quilts, entry forms, and entry fees must be turned in at the Center between Monday, June 11 and Monday, June 18, 2012. Quilts may be picked up Tuesday, August 7, 2012, or as soon thereafter as possible. However, for quilters who give AACC permission, we will keep their quilt for the month of August to display in Anderson County libraries. Those quilts must be picked up by August 10.
12. AACC reserves the right to not hang any quilt the board deems offensive or inappropriate.
