I received a BFA and MFA from East Tennessee State University. I am a ceramic artist who just loves to create and teach art. When you view my work, it is my hope that the desire to touch it and investigate the surface and form becomes such an overwhelming urge, you cannot resist touching the art. My classic forms are conceived using simple line work with the basic shapes and design elements. Glaze and embellished surface decoration work together for contrast and emphasizing the compositional message. Each work has its own beginning and ending as is described by its visual imagery or by its own unique inscription.
