Gloria Felter
I grew up in Independence MO and took weaving and quilting classes while waiting for my husband to finish graduate school. By the time I completed my first quilted wall hanging I had started 3 other quilts. That was 29 years ago and there’s no end in sight.
Most of my quilts are machine pieced and hand quilted, but I also do hand appliqué, and lately I’ve been intrigued by English paper piecing and “ortwork” created from fabric snip- pets. Beads have also appeared more and more frequently.
I am a member of
Southern Highland Craft Guild as well as Foothills Craft Guild
and Smoky Mountain Quilters of Tennessee.
I love creating baby quilts because they are so full of joy and so well received.
My motto? The more fabrics the better!
