Marie Clingan

Weaver

I have worked with fiber crafts most of my life.  Started crocheting as a young teenager but didn’t learn to knit very well until I was in my 50’s.  About that time my husband and I were living in a motor home and traveling the country.  Fiber makes a great traveling hobby, it is light weight, squishy and fits into all the tight corners.

In 2008 we bought a home in Clinton and settled down in one spot.  2012 I found the Appalachian Arts and Craft Center and discovered they gave weaving lessons.  Oh my, another fiber hobby!  I absolutely fell in love with the process and the product and I have been happily weaving away ever since.
