I grew up in nearby Norris and we returned here to retire several years ago. I learned to weave at this center in the late 1980’s and my mother was one of the quilters here when they were located in an old general store across the street.
I wanted to learn pottery for years and when we returned to Norris I started taking lessons with Bill Capshaw, an old friend, in Oak Ridge. I am hooked.
My pottery often looks like the inside of my brain…a little out of control and maybe one too many colors or elements but it makes me happy. I hope it makes you happy, too.
