Caught in the Crossfire
by Kathleen E. Fearing
The terrible tragedy of children caught in the crossfire of war is not unique to any one area of the globe. Children worldwide suffer horribly in wars they did not start and have no power to stop.
From the streets where battles are fought to the inhumanity of refugee camps, the children are the ones who suffer most because they do not understand what is happening or why.
I wrote these poems to help all of us look at war from a different perspective–that of the children caught in the crossfire of adults’ war.
